Theresa will be a new UK Prime Minister by Wednesday Evening - Cameron





David Cameron says Theresa May will be the new Prime Minister by  Wednesday evening. Mr. Cameron said he was "delighted" that the Home Secretary would succeed him.

He will chair his last Cabinet meeting on Tuesday before attending the Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday.

Mr. Cameron will thereafter go to the Buckingham Palace to offer his resignation to the Queen.

While speaking outside Downing Street, Mr. Cameron said: "I am delighted we are not going to have a prolonged Conservative leadership election campaign".

Theresa May said she is "honoured and humbled" to be Tory leader and UK PM.

Her close rival Andrea Leadsom pulled out of the contest to allow her become Conservative Party leader and PM.

Theresa Mary May (née Brasier; born 1 October 1956) is a British politician who has been the Home Secretary since 2010, and the
Member of Parliament (MP) for Maidenhead since 1997.
